Destroyed Denim has been back in style for awhile. Sure, the concept seems plain ludicrous, but you do have to admit that the artistic elements in a good pair combine to create a rocker sexy feel that looks undeniably good. Or maybe that’s just the attitude you get from wearing them.
Christine Dolce, aka Forbidden, shot to fame on MySpace of all places, as used that fame to start a line of destroyed denim that should only be described as couture as she personally destroys each pair of jeans in a different way. However, I would definitely recommend sending your own pair for the $75 treatment, as even though she claims the jeans they supply would retail for over $100, I wouldn’t spend that on them because I dislike the fit. What I love about this concept, more than that of the Abercrombie Ezra Fitch line for example, is that the designer is getting involved and creating individual pieces. Fashion is art, and loosely quoting from the Devil Wear Prada, fashion is the most important art because you live your life in it.
