The Effect of Clothes

The other day I noticed that my dog’s collar seemed to be irrarating her, so I removed it while we slept in an effort to soothe her. I figured it would be like wearing a heavy choker day in and day out for months on end. Anyway, my little princess instantly reverted back to an adorable little puppy with the absence of “clothes”. This scene really got me thinking about the effect clothing has to transform oneself. As countless makeover shows have proved, with the right fashion, you can turn anyone into anything. (We are very much thinking in stereotypical terms here.) The clothing you wear is your personal expression to the outside world, which I know I have mentioned before. But it is amazing to me how you can take a drab woman and turn her into a glamazon, or take an executive and turn her into a fashionable woman along the lines of a PR professional. Little tweaks, like shoes and accessories, can transform someone to the point of not even looking like themselves. So, moral of my little story, have fun with your fashion with the coming new year, and don’t allow yourself to be boxed into a rut you don’t absolutely love.
