I have been working with Blogitive as my Sponsored Posting partner nearly since the beginning. What I do for them is take informatio from a web release, and write up a short posting (such as this one) on the service or product. It sin’t about confusing readers, or selling ads. It is simply a way to get product information, and links, out there to the consumer… so you at least KNOW, you know?
Anyway, how do links come into play and why are they so important? It’s complex. Even the boiled down version provided to me made my head spin. Basically, Google has an very complex algorithm that ranks pages in their search engine off of a number of factors, one very important one being link popularity. Link popularity is basically how many other websites carry links to your own. You might have seen comments on m own postings requesting link exchanges, which I must admit I am very bad at getting around too, although I will almost always do them. Sorry, tangent.
