Is it any wonder that Las Vegas, ever the early adapter of all things Hollywood fashion (which I must say is worlds different than high or *haute* fashion) has had a hit club called Rehab for years? It seems to me that nowadays, every starlette in Hollywood is “in rehab”. Sure… if I had their money, and half of my own current pressures, I would jump at the mini-vacation where it truly is ok to have it all be about me.. oh wait, thats college. Anyway, although I acknowledge alcoholism and drug dependency as a serious ad unfortunate problem, I must wonder if these stars are “overmedicating” by running off to rehab, as rehab usually means very large dependency issues. A 21 year old who likes to party and binge does not necessarily an alcoholic make… if it did, the vast majority of my otherwise highly intelligent and well-educated college cohorts from around the country would need to be checking in, as well. Your thoughts?
