Al Gore on Capitol Hill… how this relates to fashion?

I am sure you have heard all of the recent hoopla surrouding Al Gore, An Inconvenient Truth, and global warming. You may have ben left paranoid, apathetic, or annoyed. In fact, many people I speak with are completely annoyed at another story on Al Gore, to the point that his message has been lost, although I do not believe these people have actually seen An inconvenient truth or watch the news.

The truth is that global warming and the environment has taken center stage. I recently read a very large spread in Glamour regarding it, and what I found most intrigueing was their push for eco-friendly clothing. This seems like a good idea, true, but they picture a young woman in eco-friendly attire, and i must say, I have never seen more hideous clothing on an individual in a Conde Nast book in my life. As I said in previous posts, and will probably say again, it is doing small things to halp the environment, and for us fashionistas it mean carrying groceries in a cute tote, not wearing a hideous recycled denim in an ill-fit. Geez…
