Sophisticated Suiting

I am so exhausted that I may have very well blogged about this before, possibly even recently. However, I must say that it probably bears repeating as every woman I talked to wondered about the same thing. I have been on a quest lately. What does a fashionable, sophisticated, young professional do when needing a suit? I have long since railed about the evils of the hideous, dowdy suit worn by so so so many of my counterparts. No wonder female suiting is so looked over, it’s like they just don’t care. Unfortunately, ugly suits, if I may call them that, are no less expensive. Cheap suits sometimes actually fit a bit better (think INC by Macy’s), but I am a fabric obsessor. I finally found the motherload. Ann Taylor (and Ann Taylor Loft) have suits that fit the bill. I tried them on my 5’9″, size 0 frame and they fit wonderfully. Well, as good as it’s gonna get… still will need a bit of tailoring, but that was expected. They are reasonably prices, of good quality fabrics, and have a great fit. Super professional, yet still looks amazing. I love mixing a vest with slack and a thin belt for a great work look.
