I am a huge TV watcher and I couldn’t be more excited at some of the fashion tv shows on right now. Here’s a run down of my faves:
Mad Fashion – Airs on Bravo. An up-close look at the over-the-top world of celebrity fashion designer and Project Runway Alum Chris March. From concept to delivery, each episode follows March, and his eccentric crew of fashion misfits as they create one-of-a-kind designs for his loyal clientèle.
I love this show. It’s very interesting to see March have a concept and his team construct that concept. I love his enthusiasm and his creative ablity blows me away. I was in love with his shoe dress for shoe designer, Ruthie Davis.
Gossip Girl – Airs on The CW. Privileged teenagers attend an elite private school in New York City. Based on Alloy Entertainment’s book series. It stars Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Chace Crawford.
I am a die hard fan of Gossip Girl. I am strangely obsessed with the upper-east side and it’s culture. Blake Lively’s character, Serena, is one of the best dressed girls ever. I heart her!
America’s Next Top Model – Airs on The CW. A cyclical competition where women from all over the U.S. compete for the honor of being America’s next “it girl” in the modeling world.
I catch America’s Next Top Model when I can. I have to say, I am in and out of this current All-Star season but I love the perspective of the fashion industry from the eyes of the models.
How To Make It In America – Airs on HBO. An American comedy drama that follows the lives of Ben Epstein (Bryan Greenberg) and his friend Cam Calderon (Victor Rasuk) as they try to succeed in NYC’s fashion scene.
Love this show. So glad it was picked up for a second season. I am obessed with the NYC fashion scene. It’s refreshing to watch two males starting a denim line – an angle that the public rarely gets to see. I love the determination and grit of both Ben and Cam. Watching makes me want to book to flight to NY and start a clothing line, literally.
Fashion Hunters – Airs on Bravo. Follows four eccentric store employees as they go out searching the attics, closets and garages of New York’s elite.
Haven’t really gotten into this one as much as I would like. I have only seen two episodes but I do like what see so far. If I had their jobs of raiding the NY fashion elite’s closets everyday, I would die.
