New E! reality series, Scouted, goes beyond the runways and fashion magazines to showcase the discovery process of million-dollar faces in the world of international modeling.
According to E! programming chief Lisa Berger, the idea behind the show is to take “viewers into the small towns where new talent is discovered, to burger joints and department stores where the next supermodel might just be working behind a counter.”
Local model scouts from Texas, Salt Lake City, Richmond and San Francisco scour nearby small town sorority houses, rodeos, and restaurants looking for the next “it” girl (or guy). These girls (and guys) are then prepped, given a makeover and then once selected potentials get a trip to New York to work with modeling experts, including Michael Flutie, Dani Stahl, Beri Smither, and Julia Samersova. These four industry pros will then prep the contestants further and send them off to One Management – whose client roster includes Claudia Schiffer, Bar Refaeli, Devon Aoki, and Iman – for a final verdict. Episodes will conclude with the models either getting launched into supermodel-dom or being sent back home.
Unlike modeling reality series America’s Next Top Model, Scouted is not competition based so no crazy catfights and off-the-wall challenges. Scouted premieres on E! November 28th at 10 pm ET/PT. Will you be watching?
