The Second Annual Beauty Within – Teen Esteem event presented by celebrity makeup artist Eric Devezin of Eric Devezin Cosmetics was held at the South Bay Galleria in Carson, CA earlier this month. Local teenagers received the star treatment with complementary makeup and hair makeovers, listened to celebrity speakers and saw amazing performances. The audience of over 150 included a varied demographic of age groups who were all inspired by the speakers including City of Carson Mayor Jim Dear, celebrity chef Eric Warren Sr., and Actress Camille Anderson. Other vip guests ranging from comedians, rappers, dancers, and models were on hand to showcase their talents and discuss raising self esteem in age of teen suicide, depression, bullying, beauty image and relationship issues.
The day also included the “Are You A Fashionista?” Style competition in which selected contestants strutted their stuff on the runway and got to showacase their style. Judges, including Miss West Hollywood Tracy Francis, narrowed down the contestants based on personal style and winners received $100 shopping sprees.
